The Beginning of Bridal Avenue
Maybe you’re wondering who the heck opens a bridal store in Spruce Grove, AB?
Kris. Kris does.
If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Kris you know she’s short, sassy, and sweet.
Something you might not know is that Kris had no experience in the bridal industry prior to opening the doors of Bridal Avenue.
The store front officially opened March 3, 2018. But the idea was born years prior when Kris realized she wanted to own her own business.
She recognized that Spruce Grove didn’t have a lot to offer in terms of bridal and decided to fill that need, inspired by her own experience as a bride and passion for couples in love.
The first year was a whirlwind – a lot of fun, learning, and sleepless nights.
Kris has two young boys and her husband works shift work.
It’s been an adjustment for them all but some of Kris’s fondest memories are getting the store ready to open with the kids and family pizza nights in the shop (before the dresses were hung of course). Her husband has been very patient throughout the whole process building anything Kris would dream up for the shop.
Bridal Avenue has evolved greatly since that opening day – growing from a one man band to a team.
Kris and her team have helped numerous brides find THE dress!
Many friendships have been made and Kris is proud to now be a part of the wedding industry. Bringing awareness of all types of local businesses to the community is something Kris prioritizes.
Kris has invested her whole heart into this business.
She and her team aim to form a connection with the brides from their initial step into the studio to long after their wedding day.
Bridal Avenue carries a curated selection of Canadian designers and offers an intimate experience with friendly customer service.
That is truly the vision that Kris had opening the small business and it’s the vision that will be carried out as Bridal Avenue continues to grow.
